Eating Disorders

Problems or pressures at school, with friends, or at home, are common. Your appetite can be affected by stress, pressure, worry or tiredness. Some people turn to food for comfort. This can lead to eating more than we need, and can make us put on weight.

Our CAMHS eating disorders services offer a specialist environment to meet the specific needs of young people suffering from a range of eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or binge eating disorder (BED). The young person may have reached such a level of severity and physical risk, that they can no longer be safely treated in a community setting.
